Dean’s Welcome Message
Dear Students: I am delighted to welcome all new students to our “MUSC”. Your decision to become part of this institution marks an important step on a scientific journey that will shape your knowledge, thinking, and character for life. The Faculty of Science was established in 1958 by Professor Dr. Stang Mongkolsuk, its first dean, who laid the foundation for cultivating world-class scientific talent for more than 68 years. Today, the Faculty continues to work toward becoming a “World Class Faculty of Science with Social Impact”, in line with Mahidol University’s policy of “Real World Impact”. The education you will receive here, therefore, is not confined to textbooks alone, but focuses on applying scientific knowledge to drive quality research and innovation that creates tangible change at both the national and international levels. I am confident that the faculty members and staff of the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, take great pride in and are fully committed to nurturing capable scientists—supported by strong academic expertise, modern facilities, learning resources, and equipment, as well as a network of partnerships with government and private organizations both domestically and internationally. These resources create better opportunities for learning, entering the job market, pursuing entrepreneurship, and continuing higher education in the future, in keeping with the Faculty’s organizational culture of “Synergy for Success and Sustainability”. In closing, I would like to offer my encouragement and best wishes to all students, that you may find happiness throughout your journey of learning here at the Faculty of Science.
