Types of Admission

There are five categories of admission at International Undergraduate Program, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University (SIM), including early direct admission, regular direct admission, Thai University Central Admission System (TCAS), quota admission, and transfer admission. Let’s find the one that best fits you and learn more about applying.

TYPES OF ADMISSION
1. Early Direct Admission

If our SIM program at Faculty of Science, Mahidol University is your first choice, then we would urge you to apply through the early direct admission. As an eligible applicant, you have completed your high school education, and have a high school certificate OR are studying in the final term of a high school either in Thailand or from overseas. 2. Regular Direct Admission

If you are studying in your final term of high school OR have completed your high school education, and have a high school certificate either in Thailand or from overseas, you can apply through the regular admission procedure. Read more

3. Thai University Central Admission System (TCAS)

If you are studying in your final term of high school OR have completed your high school education in Thailand, and have a high school certificate. The TCAS is provided for students who have Applied Knowledge Level scores in 7 subjects (การสอบวัดความรู้ทางวิชาการ 7 วิชา) organized by the National Institution of Educational Testing Service and Commission on Higher Education. 4. Quota Admission

If you are a student having an overall GPA of at least 2.70, and studying in the final term of M. 6 or grade 12 or year 13 of high school or equivalent at the MUSC Network Schools, or other English Program Schools, or other Billingual Program Schools, or other International Program Schools, we offer you the quota entry by applying through the second round of regular direct admission, and TCAS. 5. Transfer Admission or Program Switching

If you have completed your high school education, and have completed less than one year of full-time university study either Thailand or overseas. Transfer students are evaluated by the Program Committee based on their academic records at their previous universities. Cumulative grade point average, strength of curriculum and performance on courses related to the students’ intended area of study are considered. Read more
